Anelisa “Dada” Mzinyathi: Insights and Research Guru

Dada is Student Village’s go-to-guy when it s comes to finding out what’s hot and what’s not on SA campuses.

He first joined the company while in his final year as a marketing and comms student at UKZN Howard, starting his career here as a campus manager. Having proved his mettle on the ground, he was snapped up once he graduated and came on board full-time as part of the activations team at Student Village. This is the team that makes sure each campaign is taken to campus smoothly and efficiently. While in the A-team, he developed and managed various campus brand ambassador campaigns for different brands, making sure he kept his finger on the pulse of campus culture.

He’s since worked his way up the SME ladder at the company and was appointed as our Insights and Research Guru at the beginning of 2011.

His ongoing, extensive interaction with students sees him networking with trendsetters on a daily basis – making him the perfect person to find the best touchpoints for clients on campus.

Dada has never needed help with communicating – which is amply proved by him having being crowned
South African Universities National Debating ESL Champion in 2003. His easy presentation style at Student Village events is packed with youthful insight and quirky wit.
